Always Crazy, Always Fun, Always Love

Ray Romano once compared life with twins to living in a frat house. As he put it, "no one sleeps, there is a lot of noise and a lot of throwing up." I find this very true with 4 young children, including twins. However, though things are always crazy, we always try to have fun and, most certainly, always love each other.

"Daddy, will you teach me to mow?"

That is what Kenny asked Aaron this morning as he was heading out to mow the lawn. If only Kenny was 10 instead of 7..... We will have to remind Kenny of his enthusiasm to learn when he is 15 and Aaron says "Kenny, go mow the lawn" and Kenny gripes and complains. I just had to capture the moment for proof that he once really wanted to mow the lawn! Both Kenny and Jacob always want to be just like Daddy and do things he does.
These pictures were just too cute not to post. They always get so excited when it is time to mow the grass. They have no idea what is coming to them.......

That is so awesome that they want to be like their Dad and mow the lawn! But I believe that you are right, once they hit their teen years that excitement will disappear. It's a good thing you captured the moment!

Spencer is the same way and we have a little toy mower that he pushes along side Ryan. They are just too cute. We take advantage of their enthusiasm and put both Spencer & Abby to work with pulling weeds or whatever they are capable to do. I can only hope that teaching kids the joy to work at a young age will pay off in the end. Those pictures are priceless!

Love that!! I actually let Alex cut two rows last week- he did really well, but our mower is having difficulty, so I am doing it alone, but I look forward to him mowing and not me!!

How smart of you to document it. You're right...kids often WANT to help before they are too young but never want to when they can.

Such precious pictures. All Kenny needed was a straw hat and they would be identical!!! Aaron has really learned from what he didn't experience growing up - and providing that for his boys. Until Bob came along, he really didn't have a strong father figure to mimic. LOVE all your daylilies in the front. They are just gorgeous.
